A stage adaptation of Mark Haddon's novel, the play follows Christopher Boone, a charming and autistic 15-year-old. After finding his neighbor's dog dead, he becomes determined to solve the mystery. Christopher's investigation unveils family secrets, leading to personal growth as he navigates his unique perspective, sensory experiences, and the complexities of human relationships.

Gavin J. Annette (Roger, Ensemble) is excited to take to the boards of the Forst Inn once more, and can't wait to help bring Mark Haddon's charming and insightful tale to the community. He remembers reading the novel back in high school, and marveling at the distinct change in perspective and world-view the reader had to undergo, and hearing that it was eventually made into a live theatrical production excited him to no end. He would like to thank Michael for the opportunity to be a part of this fantastic story; his castmates for being beautiful, kind, and creative souls to work with and share in the experience; and his fiancé Jonathan, for his support and love and many hot meals after late-night rehearsals and readings. To the audience, Gavin hopes you enjoy the performance as much as he enjoyed working on it!
Rachel Danay (Judy) is not Phoenix McElroy's mother, but is excited to play on the Forst Inn stage again after the delight of being the mother to their Jack in Into the Woods last year. Rachel is an avid follower of author Kate Swenson of the blog Finding Cooper's Voice about the challenges of parenting a child with special needs, and the marbled swirls of emotion that accompany that journey. Rachel would like to thank Michael, Hannah and her fellow cast members for the opportunity to work with them again before she goes back to being a special education teacher full stop.
Aubrey Duncan (Siobhan) has enjoyed every production at The Forst Inn and is thrilled to be a part of this one. Not only is it an honor to be part of such a talented cast and crew, but this marks the first time she gets to share the stage with both her husband and son, Corey and Phoenix. Aubrey is privileged to have had people in her life who view and experience the world differently than she does, and being part of a production that highlights diverse capabilities and perspectives has been a powerful experience. She is grateful that Michael and The Forst Inn Arts Collective make it part of their mission to bring diverse stories and voices to this historic stage in Tisch Mills.
Lisa Heili (Mrs. Shears, Ensemble) is loving being onstage for this wonderful show. She usually spends most of her Theater time directing, scenic painting, decorating, or stage managing. Lisa read and loved the novel many times years ago, as did several of her nine children. It sparked memorable family discussions. She had the opportunity to see Curious Incident on Broadway, and never imagined she'd have the chance to be in the show. (edited)
Erin LaFond (Mrs Shears, Ensemble) is honored to join the ensemble in this beautiful piece of theatre! After spending 10 years as an educator, Erin recently shifted gears and entered the financial world as a Member Service Representative at Community First Credit Union. Notable credits include Something Rotten (Bea Bottom), City of Angels (Alaura Kingsley), The Miracle Worker (Kate Keller), The Addams Family (Alice), Shrek (Princess Fiona), The Last Five Years (Cathy), Into the Woods (The Baker's Wife), Putnam County Spelling Bee (Rona Peretti), Carrie (Margaret White), Godspell (Jesus), The Odd Couple female version (Olive). Love and light to Jeff, Archer, Jasper, and the Rotten Witches
Corey McElroy is thrilled to be gracing the stage at the Forst Inn once again. Corey is particularly excited about this production as it presents a unique and cherished opportunity to share the stage with his son, Phoenix and his wife, Aubrey. This is the first time he has been exposed to this work and he has found it particularly moving and meaningful. The theme that every child deserves patience, understanding, and the opportunity to shine resonates strongly with him.
Phoenix McElroy (Christopher) is thrilled to be back on the Forst Inn stage and to be playing another amazing role. It is great to be able to share this experience with a group of people who are wonderful both on and off stage, including my own mother and father. Phoenix is very excited to bring this role to life with all of its complexities and is happy to play someone who is just as passionate about math as he is. He also hopes you will get as much out of this play watching it, as he has being a part of it.
Ethan Stokes (Ensemble) is grateful to be back on the Forst Inn stage for the second time this summer. He’s thoroughly enjoyed exploring the interesting world that this show lives in, and how it tackles the struggles of someone like Christopher. While he isn’t old enough to know the show from the book, once he read/saw a production of the show, Ethan fell in love with the story, and has always wanted to take part in it. His most recent credits include Leaf Coneybear (Putnam Spelling Bee), Young Man (Kodachrome), and Charlie Dalrymple (Brigadoon). He would like to thank Micheal and the Forst Inn for making this show possible, as well as his fellow cast members for being incredibly talented and so much fun to be around. He hopes the audience has fun and enjoys the show!
Kenny Thompson (Ensemble) This is Kenny’s second time on the Forst Inn stage, with their first show being Dog Sees God as Van last summer. Kenny recently graduated from UWGB with a BS in Psychology and Theater (Tech and Design) where they participated in a variety of productions on and off-stage. Most recently taking on the role of Peter in Lost Girl. Kenny’s connection to this show stems from their experience with their own neurodivergencey and that they’ve worked as an ABA therapist for over two years, helping kids and young adults with ASD learn various life skills.
