Past Event: September, 2021
Their delightful summer routine--fishing, picking strawberries, enjoying old mementoes, listening to the loons call--is given a bitterly comedic edge by Norman’s unreliable memory and cantankerously morbid statements. When their daughter Chelsea visits for Norman’s 80th birthday, bringing her boyfriend Bill and Bill’s teenage son, Billy Jr., the whole family must come to grips with Norman and Chelsea’s mutual bitterness, while Norman blossoms with his chance to mentor young Billy.

The turbulent relationship between father and daughter, the generation gap between young and old, and the difficulties of a couple in the twilight years of a long marriage, all combine in a play that effortlessly illustrates the hilarious, heartbreaking, human moments of which life is made.
Directed by Lisa Hynek Heili.
Performance September 10 through 26.
Tickets $24-$28; Plated Light Meal or Charcuterie Boards available.

Elliott Lotto as Billy Ray, Jr.
Elliott Lotto may be new to the Forst Inn stage but he isn’t new to the stage. He spent 4 years performing with the Green Bay Boy Choir as well as being a part of the Algoma community musical Madagascar Jr. With a love of watching and being a part of performing arts, this 12 year old homeschooler has been raised on a small organic farm just outside of Algoma for the past 9 years and has 3 younger sisters he spends his days with. He can usually be found building, designing and dreaming up Lego sets and with equal enthusiasm will turn to drawing, sketching and planning several graphic novels. He also loves to be buried in a good book or enjoying teaching himself to cook and bake while also admiring all of the television chefs. Next month Elliott can be found with one of his sisters on the Forst Inn stage again in the musical Fun Home. He hopes to continue to grow and improve his performing arts skills.
