Lamplighter sessions were created by Peter Mulvey at Bill Camplin and Kitty Welch’s Café Carpe in Fort Atkinsin, Wisconsin. Lamplighter Sessions includes three to four musicians, all on stage together, one of them usually being Peter Mulvey, rotating songs & stories and musicianifying and magicianifying together. In conjunction with the touring Vietnam Memorial Wall exhibit in Manitowoc September 12 -15, we present The Beat Goes On, Songs of the Vietnam Era - The songs of the times that gave these Vets an escape from the hell that was The Vietnam War. "We gotta get out of this place", "Run through the Jungle", "Purple Haze", "Sky Pilot", "Mama Told Me Not To Come", "Magic Carpet Ride" and more.
This is a powerful, multi media production featuring a fast paced medley of the music of the era synced up to a video production showing footage of the fighting in the jungles of Southeast Asia and the battles in the streets of America. Performed by nationally acclaimed singing impressionist, Dave Ehlert.
