One of the most popular romantic comedies of the century, Same Time, Next Year ran four years on Broadway, winning a Tony® Award for lead actress Ellen Burstyn, who later recreated her role in the successful motion picture. It remains one of the world’s most widely produced plays. The plot follows a love affair between two people, Doris and George, married to others, who rendezvous once a year. Twenty-five years of manners and morals are hilariously and touchingly played out by the lovers.

Carrie Todd Counihan as Doris
Carrie Counihan is thrilled to be joining The Forst Inn company for the first time. She last appeared as Nan/Lina in Three Days of Rain with Isadoora Theatre Company in Door County. Prior to that, she played the role of Helen in their production of Helen and Claire in Proof. Carrie has appeared in various productions & readings with Isadoora, Rogue Theater (Ann Deever in All My Sons) & the former TAPworks theatre as well as several indie films. Here’s to the return of live theatre in 2021! |
Ian Wisneski as George
Ian is very happy to be returning to live, indoor theater after a wild year. Over the summer, he portrayed Biondello in Play-by-Play Theater's outdoor production of The Taming of the Shrew, and Lysander in their virtual Midsummer Night's Dream. Ian previously played Howie in the Forst Inn's critically acclaimed 2019 production of Rabbit Hole. |
