The Smell of the Kill

Tickets $20-$30: Light Meal Options Available
November 21; Pub Opens @ 1:00, Show starts at 3:00
Take three delicious, malicious wives, add three miserable, unloving husbands—and chill. That's the recipe of Michele Lowe's tantalizing comedy that had Broadway audiences cheering. The Smell of the Kill revolves around Nicky, Debra and Molly who have tolerated one another during once-a-month dinners for years.
While their unseen spouses play golf in the dining room, the women exchange confidences for the first time revealing that all three marriages are on the brink of disaster and all three women are facing the challenges of their lives. Nicky's husband has been indicted for embezzlement, Molly's husband is stalking her and Debra's husband is leaving her for another woman. When the men mistakenly lock themselves in a basement meat locker the women are faced with a life-or-death decision—should they leave the men out in the cold—permanently—or let them thaw? One by one the women make their choices with more than a little help from one another.

Heather Love (Debra) is from Denmark, WI. She moved to CA for five years and then to NC for thirteen, which is where she met her husband and started a family. She has been involved in theatre since college, and has enjoyed being part of numerous theatres in the different areas she's lived. Some her favorite shows include "Oliver", "The Importance of Being Earnest", "Almost, Maine", "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change", and "Assassins". She took a break from theatre after having her son, but is excited to be back on stage again. This is her first show with The Forst Inn, and she is thankful for the opportunity!

Carrie Counihan (Nicki) is thrilled to be joining The Forst Inn company again this fall after having last appeared as Stella in their production of A Streetcar Named Desire. She has also performed as Nan/Lina in Three Days of Rain with Isadoora Theatre Company in Door County, Helen in their production of Helen and Claire in Proof. Carrie has appeared in various productions & readings with Isadoora, Rogue Theater (Ann Deever in All My Sons) & the former TAPworks theatre as well as several indie films. She is so excited to now be part of the Forst Inn family and to be part of the return of live theatre in 2021!
