The Ensemble

Gavin J. Annette is beyond stoked to be involved in the second Stephen King adaptation at the Forst Inn, both on- and off-stage. Raised as a Constant Reader from an early age, Gavin would have done anything - ANYTHING - to be a part of this experience (he may have little to no shame.) Previous Forst Inn credits include The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time (Roger/Ensemble), The Play That Goes Wrong (Chris/Inspector Carter), Into The Woods (The Baker), and of course, Carrie: The Musical (Billy Nolan). Misery is one of Gavin's favorite King novels (alongside It, Gerald's Game, The Mist, and the Dark Tower series), and he hopes audiences will get as much of a thrill out of this production as he did working on it! Many thanks to Hannah Otto, Michael Sheeks, and the unequivocally talented cast for making this an unforgettable experience; and much love to Gavin's fiance Jonathan - he's been a real trooper with the near-constant nerding-out of his betrothed over this show, and it's more appreciated than he could ever know. Emilee E. Carroll is so excited and honored to portray Anne Wilkes, a character that is so aptly described as “like no one else on this or any planet.” You may recognize Emilee from earlier this season, as “M’Lynn Eatenton” in Steel Magnolias. Her journey as Annie has been unlike any other role she has portrayed, and this adventure would have never been complete without her incredible cast and crew. Thank you for trusting me to play with such a complex character created by the incredible Stephen King himself. I could have never done this without the support of my family and my incredible friends. Thank you all for believing in me (even when I struggled to do so myself!) Lastly, the biggest thank you goes to Brandon, the love of my life. I’ll always be your number one fan, and I know you’re mine.

A long-time fan of Stephen King’s story-telling prowess, Marty Schaller is thrilled to bring director Hannah Otto’s vision of Misery to the Forst Inn stage through the role of the unfortunate writer Paul Sheldon. He indicated that the passion of the cast and production staff for this psychological thriller comes shining through, making this show a “don’t you dare miss” experience. In developing the character of Paul, Marty drew upon his own personal experience of being held hostage in a remote cabin by a psychopathic female real estate agent. OK, not really, but that would have been pretty cool.

Kevin James Sievert is a professional actor, singer and musician based in Wisconsin. He is excited to make his return to the Forst Inn Stage as an actor after spending many shows behind the bar providing "bar support". His most recent regional acting credit included originating The Romantic in the first Chicago cast of "The Choir Of Man". Kevin was not expecting "Misery" or Sherrif Buster to 'cross his desk', but could not pass up another opportunity to share Stephen King's twisted world with The Inn's audiences after having the opportunity to direct "Carrie: The Musical". He appreciates the dedication and excitement of his fellow cast members and director, who all breathe life into these iconic characters. (edited)
