A farcical romp in the woods.
Shakespeare's intertwined love polygons begin to get complicated from the start--Demetrius and Lysander both want Hermia but she only has eyes for Lysander. Bad news is, Hermia's father wants Demetrius for a son-in-law. On the outside is Helena, whose unreturned love burns hot for Demetrius. Hermia and Lysander plan to flee from the city under cover of darkness but are pursued by an enraged Demetrius (who is himself pursued by an enraptured Helena).
In the forest, unbeknownst to the mortals, Oberon and Titania (King and Queen of the faeries) are having a spat over a servant boy. The plot twists up when Oberon's head mischief-maker, Puck, runs loose with a flower which causes people to fall in love with the first thing they see upon waking. Throw in a group of labourers preparing a play for the Duke's wedding (one of whom is given a donkey's head and Titania for a lover by Puck) and the complications become fantastically funny.
Directed by Michael Sheeks; Fight/Movement Direction by Greg Pragel; Costumes by Claran LaViolette; Original Music by Joey O'Connor.

Meet The Ensemble
Isabella Dippel (Helena) has recently finished her first year of college and is thrilled to join the Forst family. Past roles include Leanne in Puffs, Cosette in Les Miserables, Olivia in Twelfth Night, Val in A Chorus Line, and Rosalie in School of Rock. After a few years almost as turbulent as these Shakespearean shenanigans in the woods, Isabella is beyond grateful for this opportunity, a play that's been a family affair in so many ways. She dedicates this performance to her fellow cast and crew, along with everyone who's ever wanted to matter to someone.
Ross Dippel (Theseus/Oberon) would like to thank Michael for welcoming him into The Forst Inn Arts Collective family. He has appeared in Shakespeare’s plays from coast to coast, including playing The Bard himself in the world premiere production of THE SHAKESPEARE STEALER at The Kennedy Center in Washington DC. This is the fourth time he has tread these groves. For obvious reasons, this one is special. You are WONDER and JOY.
Aubrey Duncan (Hermia) is honored to make her debut on the Forst Inn Stage portraying one of Shakespeare’s feistiest female characters. She was previously seen in the Evergreen production of Little Women (Marmee) after returning from a twenty-year break spent raising kids and building a career. She is grateful for the support of her husband, Corey , and kids, Johannah and Phoenix.
Jessica Iannitello (Snug the Joiner) is freshly 21 years old and so excited to be taking part in her first ever Shakespeare performance. She has been involved in over 40 theatrical productions with different area companies over the years, with highlights including performing as Helen Keller in Masquer’s “The Miracle Worker”, Babette in Treehouse Theater’s “Beauty and the Beast”, and directing Peter Quince Performing Company’s production of “All Shook Up”. She’s a proud alumnus of Treehouse Theater and PQPC, and credits those children’s companies with fostering her enduring love for the performing arts. This is her first show with the Forst Inn, and will be performing with the Forst again this fall in their production of “Cabaret”.
Teresa Iannitello (Robin Starveling) is a sixteen-year-old performer who has been in over 20 productions since the age of three. Constantly active within the Manitowoc community, she’s performed with Treehouse Theater, Peter Quince Performing Company, and The Masquers, having most recently appeared in the Lion King in April, as a Hyena. A Midsummer Night’s Dream is her first time performing bc Shakespeare, and her first show with The Forst Inn! When she’s not onstage, she enjoys sewing, longboarding, making coffee, and being with her friends.
Zach Lulloff (Egeus)
Corey McElroy (Peter Quince) is thrilled to be returning to the Forst Inn Stage where he was last seen playing Hucklebee in The Fantasticks. He is grateful for the opportunity to perform Shakespeare for the very first time. He would like to thank Aubrey, Johannah, Phoenix, and Gizmo for all their love and support.
Shannon Paige (Snout) is hopping onto the inn stage again for her first shakespeare experience. Some of her favorite roles have included Jack's Mother in Into the Woods, Jenny in Company, Logaine in 25th Annual Putnum County Spelling Bee, and Jeri Neal in The Dixie Swimclub. She is a proud OG of the Mistletoe Musings which is going on year 6 this December. If she looks familiar, it's probably because you see her here all the time serving cheesecake as she does house managing here at the inn. Enjoy the show!
Em Schaller (Mustardseed) is a 21 year old who is very active in the area’s community theaters. She’s been in over 25 productions over the span of 11 years with Dare to Dream, Treehouse Theater, Masquer’s, CCC Shows, and Peter Quince Performing company. You may have seen her most recently as “Suzy” in Marvelous Wonderettes or “Gretchen” in Boeing Boeing, both through Masquers Inc. You also can look forward to seeing her as “June Muldoon” in the Forst Inn’s upcoming production of Anatomy of Gray this coming August.
Megan Schauer (Moth) is nineteen years old and is delighted to be returning to the stage for her second show with the Forst Inn. At nine years old she was introduced to Midsummer, and ever since then she had dreamed of being part of the show. She has been a proud thespian for twelve years and counting, her first role being Molly in the musical Annie at age six with Calvary Players in Green Bay (2010.) She has performed in over sixty plays and musicals since then, and made her Forst Inn debut as Vera/Evil Tina in She Kills Monsters. When she’s not on the stage, she can still be found singing and performing all around the Green Bay community as a member of The Princess Co, and in fall she can be spotted haunting the premises as a scare actor at Terror on the Fox. She would like to thank her best friends, Josie and Gracie, for their constant love and support, and her family for dealing with her non-stop dreaming. She hopes you enjoy this beautiful fever-dream of a show!
